This category covers the software the organisation depends on to operate: business applications (ERP, CRM, accounting), in-house developed code, and the operating systems and middleware everything else runs on. Include the licenses that grant you the right to use them.

This is distinct from Intellectual property: licenses, patents, trademarks, copyrights etc., which protects the legal ownership of software you create — here we're concerned with the operational dependency on software running correctly, regardless of who owns it.
